Your Emails

Over the past three years I have received hundreds of emails about the Alex Jackson series.   Thank you!   Below are some of the comments made about the books.

I loved grommet i'm obsessed with it I was geting busted because i was reading it in english class.   From Dan

I really love your books! They were so great! I was reading them and I understand why teens love it. I mean, I kinda like english and my teacher makes us do heaps of profound thinking. When I read your books, I feel as if those sentences have more meaning to it, like, you wrote them, not just to fill up the book, but also teach teens something. OMG, how nerdy do I sound? Elaine

Our Year 9 Literacy class has just finished reading your book "Alex Jackson Grommet".  As the teacher I loved it - the way it was written, the fact that it was set in Brisbane, the language used and the relationships between the characters.  In my class of all boys and 1 girl I read the book aloud.  They loved it and wouldn't let me stop.   So thank-you for writing such an enjoyable book for teenage readers and especially boys. Sandy

Your three books are easily the best books i have ever read. That isn't much credit really, i haven't read many books but maybe i'll start now. The Alex Jackson ones I really connected with. I'm in year 8 in Melbourne, and my plan is to go to the skatepark lots and chat to everyone there until i meet someone like casey. Then, i'll learn to skate, then, I'll go on a Zen tour, then, I'll meet a girl... I hope to be done by 16, a year later than Alex because he had the speed of books. Thanks for the motivation. Your no. 1 Fan, Harley   (yeah i get the motorbike joke alot)
